Cookies and Other Technologies We Use
We want to make it easier for you to understand and control the
use of cookies and similar technologies that we use on the SanDisk
corporate websites ("Sites") to store or access information from
your computers or other devices.
Types of Cookies
We classify our use of cookies into three types:
- Strictly Necessary - these cookies
are strictly necessary to enable services or provide information
that you requested on the Sites and allow you to move around the
Sites by using essential features; examples include cookies that
are required to facilitate shopping cart functionality, Live Chat
functionality or are otherwise necessary to improve security or
prevent fraud. If you disable these cookies, we will not be able to
fulfil your request.
- Functional and Performance - these
cookies remember your choices to improve your experience on our
Sites, and also enhance our services on the Sites by providing us
with analytical information about how you interact with our Sites.
The information collected is used to make your use of our Sites
more efficient and help us compile aggregate, anonymous,
statistical information about the effectiveness of our Sites'
operations or promotional campaigns. Examples include when we use a
cookie to remember the country or language preferences you selected
on our web site. We may also include similar technologies (such as
web beacons) in promotional email messages that you have requested
so we can track whether messages have been opened and acted upon.
If you disable or opt-out of these cookies or other technologies,
it may prevent you from using certain parts of the Sites, and it
may reduce the support or information that we can provide you.
- Marketing - these cookies enable
us to collect information about your browsing or shopping history
in order to specifically tailor relevant marketing according to how
you use our Sites. We may share this information with third parties
to help create and deliver advertising personalized to you and your
interests. If you disable or opt-out of these cookies, it may
prevent you from using certain parts of the Sites and it may
prevent us from offering you some of our services.
Cookies Placed by Third Parties
You may also encounter cookies on
our Sites that are placed by third parties and that we do not
control. For example, when you buy SanDisk products online through
the SanDisk Store our ecommerce vendor may use cookies and other
technologies. Links to our ecommerce vendor's privacy policy and
terms of sale are at the bottom of the shopping cart page and at
checkout.
We may also allow third parties
(such as Google) to place cookies on our sites to facilitate
interest-based advertising on third party websites, which may on
occasion include the remarketing of our products and services that
you have viewed on our Sites on third party websites. This notice
does not apply to applications, technologies or sites that are
owned by and/or operated by third parties (such as third party
advertisers or third party ad servers), even if they use our
technology to store or collect information. We do however work with
third parties to ensure that you are provided with the necessary
information and are provided with the opportunity to make your
choice. The relevant third party's terms of use, privacy policy,
permissions and notices should be reviewed regarding its
collection, storage and sharing practices.
Your Choice and Controlling
and Opting-Out of Cookies on the SanDisk Website
We obtain your consent to our use
of cookies by providing you with transparent information and
providing you with the opportunity to make your choice. Please note
that we are not required to obtain your consent to our use of
cookies that are strictly necessary.
You can modify your browser
settings to control whether your computer or other device accepts
or declines cookies. If you choose to decline cookies, as noted
above, you may not be able to use certain interactive features of
our Sites. You can always go back and delete cookies from your
browser; however, that means that any settings or preferences
controlled by those cookies will also be deleted and you may need
to recreate them.
You can also opt-out of certain
functional and performance cookies that we use on the Sites to
collect aggregated, anonymous data.
To opt-out of Google cookies
(including those used for Google Analytics), download the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (BETA).
You should also visit Google Ads Preferences Manager.
To opt-out of Adobe Analytics,

Cookies on other Websites

marketing advertisements from third party advertisers and ad
networks who are members of the Network Advertising Initiative or
who follow the Digital Advertising Alliance's Self Regulatory
Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising by visiting the
