Corporate Responsibility

Being a responsible corporate citizen is an important part of who we are as a company. From ethical and sustainable business practices to avoiding the use of conflict minerals to supporting our communities and the environment, we strive to do more than simply provide great products. In 2012, our efforts resulted in our being recognized in the top 10 most generous corporate philanthropists in Silicon Valley by the San Jose Business Journal. We also received significant recognition from areas of the world where SanDisk does business: for example, our Israel locations have received a Platinum ranking on the Maala Corporate Social Responsibility Index for two consecutive years, and in 2012 we received from India the Golden Peacock Global Award for Corporate Social Responsibility.
