SanDisk minimizes the environmental impact of its facilities and
information technology-related activities at its operations around
the world.
We use an environmental management system certified to the ISO
14001:2004 Standard* to drive a systematic approach for setting and
tracking environmental objectives and targets; identifying and
controlling the environmental impact of its activities, products or
services; and improving our environmental performance on an ongoing
basis.
Specific areas of SanDisk's environmental focus include:
pollution prevention by limiting waste and promoting recycling,
improving energy efficiency, meeting legal and environmental
regulations related to environmental aspects of our activities,
products, and services, and ongoing improvements to reduce the
environmental impact of our products and activities by reviewing
and setting sound environmental objectives and targets.
Carbon Disclosure Project
SanDisk today measures greenhouse gas emissions, sets reduction
targets, reports on performance improvements and discloses overall
climate change strategies through the global Carbon Disclosure
Project (CDP).
We joined more than 3,000 organizations in 60 countries as a
member of the CDP. The independent not-for-profit organization
maintains the largest database of primary corporate climate change
information in the world.
