SanDisk Controlled and Reportable Substances Policy for
Parts/Materials

SanDisk meets applicable worldwide
product environmental regulations and requirements associated with
our products and services, including those stipulated by the
European Union Restriction of Hazardous Substances (EU RoHS) and
the European Union Regulation, Evaluation, and Authorization of
Chemicals (EU REACH).
Our "Green Policy on Controlled and
Reportable Substances for Parts and Materials" was established in
2007 to restrict and monitor more than 100 substances used in our
operations, including chemicals containing chlorine, bromine and
antimony. This policy is reviewed and revised annually to ensure we
meet both legal regulations and customer requirements. We have

SanDisk has placed a special focus
on reducing the size and weight of our product packaging and using
materials that are easy to recycle. We replaced 5"x7" polyvinyl
chloride (PVC) clamshell packages used in the early 2000's in our
retail packaging with much smaller polyethylene terephthalate (PET)
and paper blister packages, significantly reducing the use of
plastic and eliminating PVC, a chemical proven to present threats
to human and environmental health. Our warranties and quick start
guides are now posted online for most products, reducing the need
for paper inserts.
