Doreet Oren is the official SSD spokesperson for SanDisk, and is responsible for delivering new product announcements and communicating SanDisk's vision to the media. Rich Heye is Senior Vice President and General Manager, Solid State Drives (SSD) Business Unit (BU) at SanDisk Corporation in Milpitas, California. Rich has a deep background in both leading businesses and driving large engineering teams. Most recently, he was at ATI Technologies as General Manager of its Discrete Graphics Desk Top Business Unit. Prior to that he was in a series of engineering, infrastructure creation and general management roles at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), where he is credited with establishing a solid desktop, mobile and server infrastructure in the marketplace for Athlon FX, Athlon 64, and Opteron. His career also includes Director of Desktop Macintoshes at Apple Computer and designing microprocessors at Digital Equipment Corp. Heye holds Bachelor Degrees in electrical engineering and computer science as well as a Masters in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis.

Don has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, serving in senior marketing and technical sales positions. Prior to joining SanDisk, Don ran the flash product marketing organization at Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. specifically involved in the launch of Samsung's SSD and Hybrid Hard Drive products. Previously, he managed field application engineering teams at Micron Technology, Inc. and PNY Technologies, Inc. Most recently, Don worked at Nanosys, Inc. on novel nanostructures to further enabling flash scaling below the 22 nm node.

Don received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Calgary and holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

Name: Avi Klein
JobTitle: Senior Principal Engineer, Memory Technology Strategy

Avi Klein is a Principal Engineer focused on Flash Technology and Market Knowledge at SanDisk Corporation, Milpitas, CA. In his role, Avi performs extensive research of Flash markets and the competitive landscape; Flash technology, both current and future; and provides knowledge, consultancy, analysis, and training services across the company organizations. Avi also participates in company strategic discussions. Prior to the acquisition of msystems by SanDisk, Avi was Director of Flash Technology at msystems, dealing mainly with technology assessment, market research, business development and corporate strategy.

Avi has more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, mostly at Intel, where he held managerial positions in the fields of Engineering, Yield, Process Integration, Quality and Reliability, Technology Transfer, Failure Analysis (FA) Lab and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS).

Avi earned his degree in Process/Chemical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel and MBA from Kellogg - Recanati International Executive MBA program of Northwestern University and Tel Aviv University. Avi has special interest in emerging technologies for non volatile memory, nanotechnology and enterprise knowledge management.
