FanFare Privacy Policy

The SanDisk Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information when you use SanDisk’s services. This notice describes SanDisk’s practices specifically as they relate to the Fanfare™ content delivery service. In some instances our practices for a particular service may differ from our general privacy policy. Where that may be the case, the specific disclosure governs our use and practices. As always, you may contact us with questions or any concerns related to our privacy practices.

The Fanfare service (the “Service” or the “Fanfare Service”) enables users to download and view certain content (the “Products”).

Information Collection and Use

You need an account to use the Service and our “Products” available there. Account users create a user name and password. If a user indicates they are over 13 years of age then SanDisk may collect certain demographic information. Fanfare users should not create a user name that enables them to be personally identified. SanDisk does not generally link demographic information collected through the Fanfare registration process with information that may be personally identifiable (like your email address).

Demographic information that may be collected is used consistent with SanDisk’s privacy policy and also for research and development purposes as well as marketing. SanDisk may share this demographic information with trusted third parties but will not do so in a manner that is personally identifiable and will generally be on an aggregate basis. This information may be used for targeted marketing and advertising to users of the Fanfare Service and Products in connection with use of the Service and Products but is not shared with advertisers.

For Parents:

The Fanfare Service is not directed at children under 13 and SanDisk will not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Should SanDisk learn that it has received personal information from users under 13 it will promptly take steps to delete such information.

The Fanfare Store and Service is available only to users in the United States. Use and registration outside the United States is expressly prohibited.
