SanDisk iSSD Integrated Storage Devices enable OEMs to offer state-of-the-art mobile computing experiences, such as instant on, faster multitasking, and more responsive apps. Their compact form factor fits in thin and light designs, and their low power consumption help extend battery life.

OEMs choose SanDisk iSSD storage devices for mass storage in Ultrabooks and tablets or other demanding mobile computing platforms. With SanDisk iSSD storage devices, OEMs also provide dual-drive configurations for flash-based cache acceleration in client computers, enabling outstanding performance.

Innovative Form Factor Supports Cutting-Edge Designs

Designed for low power consumption and embedded applications, SanDisk iSSD brings solid state drive capability to thin and light mobile computing devices. This is possible thanks to an innovative embedded ball grid array (BGA) form factor, standardized as part of the compact, single-chip SATA uSSD.

Faster Write Speeds with nCache™ Acceleration Technology

A part of SanDisk's Adaptive Flash Management™ (AFM) system, nCache Acceleration Technology**nCache™ acceleration technology is a large SLC non-volatile Write Cache, a unique feature in SanDisk SSDs that improves random write performance and ensures an improved user experience. Studies show that modern operating systems mostly access the storage device using 4k access blocks. The cache is filled during these small write commands and emptied during idle time when the host is not accessing the drive, with no risk of data loss. For a typical everyday use, the write performance that the users see is the nCache™ (burst) high performance, and not steady state (sustained) SanDisk U100/i100 SSD performance. Based on IOmeter 4K random write test. uses a non-volatile write cache to boost random write performance up to seven times over steady-state performance.

User-Centered Design Provides Better Customer Experiences

SanDisk iSSD delivers the experiences discerning customers want, including faster application loading, smoother multitasking, and greater data endurance**Approximations based on SanDisk internal metrics, that quantifies how much data can be written to a SSD in its lifespan expressed in terabytes written (TBW). Data is written using typical PC transfer size, written at a constant rate over the life of the SSD and data is retained for at least 1 year upon TBW exhaustion.
